Ground Blessing & Ground Breakng Photographs

American Indian Ground Blessing

The American Indian Paiute Tribe conducted a ground blessing ceremony for the new hospital site on January 27, 2006. The event was attended by members of the Paiute, Shoshone, and Chemehuevi Tribes as well as several regional directors of the National American Indian Veterans, Inc.

Ground Breaking Ceremony

The Ground Breaking Ceremony for the new hospital site was held on October 20, 2006. Attendees included VA Secretary James Nicholson, Senators Harry Reid and John Ensign, Representatives Shelly Berkley and Jon Porter, VISN 22 Director Kenneth Clark, Veterans Service Organizations, VA staff and the public.
