WELCOME HOME CELEBRATION
Hello and welcome to the the seventh annual Welcome Home Celebration!
Americans have been there for service men and women since Abraham Lincoln gave his second inaugural address on March 4, 1865 "...to care for him who shall have borne the battle..." A promise that evolved into the creation of the Department of Veterans Affairs. In the spirit of that promise, VA has spent millions of dollars in Southern Nevada to provide you a new state-of-the-art Comprehensive Medical Center.
We proudly present the Welcome Home Resource Event as a tool to your success as you transition back into civilian life. For those Veterans out of the service for a while, these services are equally valuable and can save you time and effort. We are providing a "one-stop shopping" opportunity to get the help you need and to offer solutions to issues you may face in the future.
Warrior-to-warrior, the following Veteran Service Organizations are proud sponsors of this event:
American Legion Post 149
Blinded Veterans Association
Catholic War Veterans Post 1947
Catholic War Veterans Post 1947 Auxiliary
Catholic Veterans of Nevada Charity Foundation
Disabled American Veterans Chapters 12, 13, & 15
Elks Southern Nevada Veterans Services
Jewish War Veterans Department of Nevada
Masonic Services of North America
Military Order of Purple Heart
The Nevada - Paralyzed Veterans of America
Veterans of Foreign Wars, Department of Nevada
Vietnam Veterans of America
You served your country honorably and we hope you'll take advantage of all the services we will be providing to you. Your caregiver and family members are also welcome to the event to better assist you.
The "Welcome Home" Resource Event is provided to you from your community-at-large and courtesy of a grateful nation.
