Military Sexual Trauma (MST)

Did you know that one in five women and one in a hundred men have experienced Military Sexual Trauma (MST)?

Sexual violence or sexual trauma can affect Veterans' physical and mental health many years after the event.  Some problems associated with MST include:

  • Depression
  • Trouble sleeping
  • Weight change
  • Anxiety
  • Physical pain
  • Memory loss

VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System offers a variety of services to assist Veterans who have experienced MST. Treatment for all mental and physical health conditions related to MST is FREE. You may be eligible to receive free MST care even if you are not eligible for other VA care.

VA Las Vegas is here to help you. Our Military Sexual Trauma Coordinator can help you find and access VA services and programs, state and federal benefits, and community resources.
