NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. —The VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System will host a free “Miracles for Heroes” Concert Tour featuring The Motown Miracles, at the Green Valley Ranch Resort and Casino, 6 p.m. on March 20.

Armed with some of the greatest songs ever written, The Motown Miracles are still, after 40 years, attracting enthusiastic audiences around the world. With lead singer Sydney Justin, who replaced Smokey Robinson in 1995, the Motown Miracles have partnered with the Department of Veterans Affairs on a nationwide tour to show their appreciation of America’s veterans and those who currently serve in the armed forces.

“The Miracles for Heroes free Concert is an opportunity to say thank you and give back to those who have served and continue to serve our great nation,” said Karen Cinnamon, Voluntary Service chief for the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System.  “We’re honored that we were one of 15 locations selected by the Department of Veterans Affairs Voluntary Service to partner with Warrior Summit to bring The Miracles and provide this wonderful free event to our community.”

Cinnamon said another goal of VA-sponsored events such as the Miracles for Heroes concert is to increase awareness of the VA in the community.  As such, prior to the concert, the VA will be on hand to provide veterans and military members with information on various support services.  “We want our Veterans and their families to have a great evening of entertainment, but we also want them to come away from the event with information to assist them with their individual needs,” she said.
