Volunteer Assignments

We've listed some of the ways you can volunteer below. However, if you have special skills to offer, please call us so we can discuss how you can best use your talents to help our patients.

Volunteer Transportation Network Drivers
Transport Veterans receiving chemotherapy, dialysis, radiation therapy, and other   outpatient appointments. To fill this role, you must have a current driver's license, automobile insurance, clean driving record and be able to pass a physical exam provided by the VA. Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Volunteer Transportation Network DispatcherSchedule Volunteer drivers to transport Veterans to and from medical appointments.

Information Desk Volunteer
Assist patients and visitors with information at one of our four Primary Care Clinics or at the Medical Center. Hours: 7:30 - 11:30am or 11:30am - 4:00pm.

Volunteer Office Assistant
Assist in various medical or administrative offices in the Medical Center. Duties include filing, answering phones, greeting and directing patients.  Hours: Variable.
 
Volunteer Patient Reminder Calls
Make phone calls to remind patients of their scheduled appointments. Hours: Variable.

 

Please Note all Volunteers must pass Tuberculosis (TB) screening and FBI backgroud check.
